I first visited San Antonio Raceway in the Fall of 2008. Call me a late bloomer, but for some reason I had just not made my way out to this great little drag strip.
At the time I had been hanging out with the guys from Motion Dynamics (now closed) and they had a Ford Thunderbolt they wanted to take to the track. So I went out there with them for my maiden voyage.
The night did not go so well for MD due to techincal diffuculties, however the track proved to be a good time. I got to see all types of stuff I had heard about but never saw.
My second visit to the track was to go get a baseline of 1996 Grand Marquis before putting a fully built engine in (which I still need to go, ah time and money). From a drivers perspective the track was very inviting and encouraging. I highly recommend you make your way out there if you have ever wondered what a Texas drag strip feels like.
